In 2025, the International Journal on Homelessness Conference featured a three-day program agenda with over 160 sessions and thematic discussions; a book launch and signing; networking opportunities, and site visits to local organizations working to address homelessness. Practitioners from nearly 30 countries, including Angola, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Mongolia, Namibia, Nepal, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay, convened to exchange knowledge and make connections. The inaugural International Journal on Homelessness Conference featured a global plenary session, over 70 presentations, various discussion forums, and local site visits to organizations whose work focuses on homelessness or housing. Practitioners from nearly 20 countries attended, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, England, Hungary, India, Ireland, Japan, Mongolia, Nigeria, Portugal, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, United States, Uruguay, and Wales, and with over 100 contributors.
